A professional learning program designed to equip new Stage 6 DoE teachers with essential knowledge to deliver Stage 6 syllabuses will be held on Wednesday 19 March 2025 (Term 1 Week 8). Across the 2 sessions, teachers will gain a deep understanding of HSC requirements, compliance obligations and effective strategies to enhance student learning and achievement. The sessions are designed to be collaborative, with opportunities for discussion and knowledge-sharing.
Session 1: Essential HSC information for those teaching Stage 6 for the first time
Session 2: Targeted subject support for those teaching a Stage 6 course for the first time, focusing on support available for effective Stage 6 syllabus implementation for teachers new to teaching a Stage 6 Beginners, Continuers or Extension language course
Teachers are welcome to attend one or both sessions, based on their individual professional learning needs.
Registrations close Wednesday 12 March, 5 pm.
While this professional learning is targeted for those teaching a Stage 6 course for the first time, any Stage 6 teacher who wants to strengthen their knowledge and understanding is welcome to attend.
