Support for teachers new to Stage 6 language teaching

Early career languages teachers and teachers new to Stage 6, a full day of Stage 6 professional learning is happening on Friday 27 February (Term 1 Week 5) for teachers in NSW public schools.

 

The sessions are designed to build teacher confidence and capability in syllabus implementation, evidence-based teaching strategies and assessment practices. They will include an overview of Stage 6 essentials, KLA support materials and course-specific requirements for Languages Beginners, Languages Continuers, Languages Extension, Languages in Context and Languages and Literature.


The agenda for the day is made up of 3 parts:

1️⃣ Introductory webinar for teachers from all KLAs about Stage 6 essentials

2️⃣ KLA-specific session about teaching Stage 6 Languages

3️⃣ Syllabus-specific session in 2 groups: Beginners/Continuers/Extension and in Context/and Literature.
