New Stage 6 support for Extension, in Context and CCAFL!

The NSW Department of Education has recently published the following support documents:
A guide to support teachers with the Languages Extension course, including approaches to programming and strategies for developing students’ responses in the target language.
Guides to supports the Personal Investigation module in the Stage 6 Chinese in Context; Japanese in Context and Korean in Context courses. They include sample inquiry questions, text suggestions, marking guidelines, annotated sample responses and scaffolded classroom activities to support student inquiry, analysis and reflection.
A resource to support teachers to introduce and explore the issue ‘Australian identity’ with students in the Chinese in Context course. The resource provides key vocabulary, context-setting activities and authentic source texts that explore identity, belonging, migration, First Nations perspectives and shared histories.
A guide to support teachers to interpret the CCAFL oral examination consistently across languages. It clarifies expectations for interaction, justification of ideas and performance standards as outlined in the oral examination specifications and marking guidelines. It also includes language-specific support packs that illustrate how the assessment principles and marking expectations apply in a range of languages. Language-specific examples have also been unpacked in additional guides for Khmer, Persian, Russian and Turkish.
