The Spanish Education Office is delighted to invite all schools in NSW which teach Spanish to participate in the Spanish Dance Video Project 2021. Participating in the project acknowledges the usefulness of dance as a great tool for Spanish language learning and sends out a positive message of hope for teachers and students alike! Put on your dancing shoes and dance together with your Spanish students to an amazing song entitled Resistiré! To enter, please refer to the invitation below. For further information, please contact Barbara Bello. The Spanish Education Office, in collaboration with the Spanish Teachers Association of NSW, is organising an online TeachMeet from and for Spanish teachers in Australia and New Zealand on 26 July 2021 at 5:00 pm (AEST).
We are looking for educators to present (in Spanish) a short idea that would be useful to other Spanish educators in their daily classroom practice. Each presentation must last a maximum of 7 minutes. On the day, there will be an opportunity for presenters to meet with participants to further discuss their idea. Educators interested in presenting need to fill in this form before 28 May. We expect to be overwhelmed with presentation proposals from a variety of areas and experiences in Australia and New Zealand! Looking forward to reading your proposals! The Spanish Teachers’ Association of NSW (STANSW) is the association that connects and represents Spanish teachers of NSW.
It is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. The association is dedicated to strengthening and promoting the teaching and learning of Spanish at all levels of teaching – primary, secondary and tertiary. It also aims to promote the cultures of the twenty-two countries of which Spanish is the official language. Memberships are now open for 2021. $30 for full-time teachers and $20 for part-time teachers – if paid before 8 March 2021. For further information please contact Kati Varela, president of the Spanish Teachers’ Association. The Spanish Education Office is offering a series of live webinars from Spain. The third workshop, entitled La cultura en la clase de ELE: hacer visible lo invisible focuses on developing intercultural understanding when learning Spanish and delivered by Alfredo Pérez Berciano from Colegio Delibes, Salamanca.
The session is on Tuesday 15 September 2020, 4pm and 6pm. For more information and to subscribe, please contact Bárbara Bello González. |
