Catalina Manrique is the Education Advisor from the Embassy of Spain in Australia. She recently finished working as an Education Advisor for the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines. From 2008 to 2013, she was an Education Advisor for the Embassy of Spain in Australia, assisting the languages team at the Department for Education of South Australia.
Prior to these roles, she was a coordinator for 6 years at the Spanish School, New York, run by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
She was the principal of Les Vinyes High School in Barcelona for 8 years, a secondary language teacher for 16 years and a primary teacher for 10 years. She is a passionate advocate for languages and has also developed numerous resources for the teaching and learning of Spanish.
Catalina speaks Spanish, English, French, Italian and Catalan. We welcome Catalina in her new role and look forward to her positive contributions in the Languages team at the NSW Department of Education.
