New course prescriptions for the 2020–2024 Higher School Certificate for Stage 6 Extension courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek and Spanish have been published and are available to download from the syllabus section of the NESA website.
Implementation of the new course prescriptions will commence at the start of Term 4, 2019 for the 2020 HSC examination.
Schools are reminded that the study of texts prescribed for any Year 12 course may not begin before the completion of the Year 11 course and applies to the study of a prescribed text in any medium, including the film of a novel.
