The award celebrates the professionalism of teachers who role model excellent practice in the classroom, promotes intercultural awareness and draws attention to the value of learning other languages and cultures in our schools.

Successful candidates must be full-time or part-time language educators who will have spent at least 50% of their direct teaching time as a languages teacher during the year of application. Both collegial and self-nominations are welcome.
Nominations for the awards must be submitted by 5pm Tuesday 20 December, 2017.
