We are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated Year 11 Spanish teachers to teach the Continuers course. The positions are available at Kogarah High School and The Hills Sports High School Centres. Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in teaching classes for Years 7 to 11 at the Saturday School of Community Languages (SSCL) for the 2021 school year. The positions are located across 14 high school centres across Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle. The SSCL is a NSW Department of Education secondary school which operates on Saturdays. The SSCL gives students the opportunity to study their background community language when that language is not available at their own school or college. The school follows NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabuses in a range of languages. Students include their language study as part of their Record of School Achievement (RoSA) and their Higher School Certificate (HSC). In 2021 Saturday School of Community Languages will be trialling Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6) classes for Italian and Hindi. Classes are held every Saturday morning during the school term. The SSCL is a Department of Education (DoE) secondary school which operates on Saturdays in 15 high school centres across Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle. It has been offering excellence in languages teaching and learning since 1978. The SSCL gives students the opportunity to study their background community language when that language is not available at their own school or college. The school follows NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabuses in a range of languages. Students include their language study as part of their Record of School Achievement (RoSA) and their Higher School Certificate (HSC). The position/s will be located at one of the SSCL centres.
