Sydney University is seeking internship placements from 15 November to 3 December (15 days) for the Master of Teaching, year 1 preservice teachers in the following languages:

- French/Spanish x 1
- French/Arabic x 1
- Modern Hebrew x 1
- Chinese x 3
- Japanese 3
- Korean x 1

Remuneration for this placement is $510 per preservice teacher.

Macquarie University seeking placements for preservice language teachers

Macquarie University is seeking placements for preservice language teachers in Sydney’s western suburbs.

Details of placements:

Chinese
20 days – 13 day block from 29 November to 15 December, plus 7 days prior to block.
Remuneration – $680
Spanish
20 days – 13 day block from 29 November to 15 December, plus 7 days prior to block.
Remuneration – $680
French
15 days – 15 day block from 8-26 November.
Remuneration – $510

Preservice teachers can complete their placements in Stages 4, 5 or 6.

The Australian Catholic University seeks placements for preservice language teachers

The Australian Catholic University is seeking placements for the following languages:
Chinese – 2
Italian or Spanish – 3
Korean – 1

Students require 20 days practicum to commence in Term 4 2020 or Term 1 2021. Specific dates can be negotiated directly between the supervising teacher and the preservice teacher. Remuneration for this placement is $660 per student.

Macquarie University seeks placements for preservice language teachers

Macquarie University is seeking placements for 2 final year students located in the South-West Sydney area in the following languages:
Chinese – 1 x 10 days
Modern Greek – 1 x 10 days

Dates to be negotiated directly between the supervising teacher and the preservice teacher. Remuneration for this placement is $330 per student.

In addition, there are also 4-5 students who need to do minor placements in EAL/D (x 10 days).

Registrations open for Hunter/Central Coast Language Teachers' conference

The Hunter/Central Coast Language Teachers' conference will be held on Saturday 22 February 2020 at the Rydges Hotel, Newcastle. This event is open to all language teachers from all regions and sectors including preservice teachers.
Cost of the conference is $150 for teachers and $50 for preservice teachers. The conference will run from 8:30am-4:15pm with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided.
For session and registration information please refer to the conference form. Numbers are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Registrations close on Friday 7 February.
