The recently released Australian curriculum for Chinese, French, Indonesian and Italian have not been endorsed for use in NSW schools......[omit]...... Schools and teachers can be assured that BOSTES will only implement new syllabuses after extensive consultation, including consultation on any implementation timetable.

This year the Guide will be available in print and digital format. The print version will appear in the SMH on Monday 16 June."

HSC Language oral examination scheduling function opens 2 June 2014
Teachers will be able to schedule their students' HSC language oral exams from Monday 2 June using Schools Online.

Consultation on the Review of Languages Education in NSW concluded in December 2013. More than 300 people attended public consultation meetings held in metropolitan and regional NSW.
Many responses were received from students, teachers, parents, school executive members, community organisations and education authorities.
The consultation report provides the key findings on the Review’s six initial proposals and additional themes emerging from the consultation data. The report also provides information about the consultation process and the consultation respondents.
