Do you like mascots?
Do you know about the type of mascots we call "Gotochi-kyara" in Japanese?
In July, we posted reading material to the "Nihon de wa Ima" section,

There are many Japanese mascots.
Recently, new mascots that takes on the form of Japanese local culture,
called "Gotochi-kyara (Local mascots)" have appeared, and the trend is
becoming more popular in Japan.
Why do Japanese people like mascots?
What are the features of the Japanese mascots?
Additionally, what mascots become popular in your student's countries?
Please use it for your classroom activity and so on!
