By tracing the history, themes and trends of Japanese Manga and Anime, this course will give you a greater understanding how these fascinating artistic pursuits serve as an extended expression of Japanese culture and society.
The course is created and taught by Dr Rebecca Suter, author of 'The Japanization of Modernity' and 'Holy Ghosts: The Christian Century in Modern Japanese Fiction'.
No previous knowledge of manga, anime or Japanese language or culture is required.
We hope you can join us.
