Seeking temporary Japanese and Korean teacher – St Marys Senior High School

St Marys Senior High School is seeking expressions of interest from teachers who are interested in a part-time, temporary position, teaching Stage 6 Japanese Beginners and Korean Beginners. The position is available from the beginning of Term 2 2019 until the end of Term 1 2020 and the successful applicant will be allocated a 0.8 FTE load, teaching Monday to Thursday. There is also the possibility for casual work on Fridays if the applicant is interested.

The successful applicant should have accreditation to teach Japanese and Korean. Recent teaching experience with Stage 6 students is preferable, although all expressions of interest will be considered.

The Languages and Culture team is currently recruiting the Tanken Centre Support Officer:

This is a 3-year position and applicants must have recent school-based experience.
 
The Tanken Centre is located at Kirrawee HS in southern Sydney.

Permanent departmental teachers would retain right-of-return to their current school for a period of up to 3 years.

Castle Hill High School is seeking a part-time Japanese teacher to job share a full teaching load with a teacher returning from maternity leave. The position will be a 0.4 teaching load.

The successful applicant will have approval to teach Japanese from Year 7 to Year 12, and will need to supply their WWCC number.

Bowral High School is seeking language teachers who have approval to teach Japanese and a willingness to teach English 7-10.

There are  two full-time positions for the 2019 school year, with the possibility of extension.

Japanese TeachMeet at Epping Boys High School

Japanese teachers are invited to attend a TeachMeet at Epping Boys High School on Thursday 29 November from 2:00pm.

Teachers are invited to present a favourite resource/teaching strategy to a small group with break time included for discussion and general conversation. Presentations should be limited to 5 minutes.
 
There will not be any cost or paperwork associated with the day although a letter will be provided as evidence of attendance. All resources will be shared afterwards through the JTAN website.

As a suggestion, teachers should arrange to have the last period off and bring their lunch.

Part-time Japanese teaching position – Asquith Boys High School

Asquith Boys High School is seeking a part-time Japanese teachers for the last 3 weeks of Term 4 2018, with possible extension into 2019.

The teaching load is 0.7 and includes Year 7 classes, and the possibility for casual work on the remaining 3 days.

Applicants must be able to teach Year 7 Japanese and have an understanding of how to engage boys in the classroom. 

Interested teachers are invited to send an expression of interest and a copy of their CV (including departmental employee number and WWC number) to Elly Connolly, Head Teacher, Languages.
