Our popular Centre Visit program reopened this year at our new office in Chippendale. Since then, over 1,000 students have visited us from the Sydney region, as well as Canberra, the Central Coast, and the South Coast.
来(き)てくださってありがとうございました。

Bookings are now open for 2016. For more information, click here. Bookings are open every school day of the year, but make sure you book early, as dates fill fast!

Groups can come for a film screening, language/culture lesson, or combination of the two. Our film library contains a wide range of classic and new Japanese films just for students.

Tailored lessons run for approximately one to two hours. You can choose from a wide range of lesson topics and activities, and if you can’t find anything you like on our website, we can work with you to create a program relevant to your students’ interests and proficiency level.

Students also have the chance to visit The Japan Foundation, Sydney Library and Gallery while they are at the centre.

A paper published in the Australian Journal of Teacher Education analyses the current literature on teacher attrition and retention, and proposes a new model for retaining teachers (of any discipline, but forthcoming papers will focus specifically on language teachers).
The authors propose that to facilitate teacher retention, teachers need to "have, have supported, and have opportunities to further develop their human capital, social capital, structural capital, and positive psychological capital".
