29/11/2015

NSW Teachers please be advised that the current NSW K-10 syllabus still applies until further notice by BOSTES. However, it is interesting to see the detail and large curation of resources available within the Australian Curriculum Japanese 7-10 scope and sequence.
http://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/languages/japanese/curriculum/7-10?layout=1

If you click on any of the Content descriptions within the Years 7-10 Sequence and then click on the Code (e.g ACLJAC001) it will take you to content descriptions, elaborations and to the Discover resources where you can access relevant digital resources within Scootle and Language Learning Space.

Australian Journal of Teacher Education - teacher retention

24/11/2015

A paper published in the Australian Journal of Teacher Education analyses the current literature on teacher attrition and retention, and proposes a new model for retaining teachers (of any discipline, but forthcoming papers will focus specifically on language teachers).
The authors propose that to facilitate teacher retention, teachers need to "have, have supported, and have opportunities to further develop their human capital, social capital, structural capital, and positive psychological capital".
