The Japan Foundation, Sydney offers free workshops for school students through the Centre Visit program.

Their goal is to bring Japanese to life outside the classroom and encourage students to learn more about Japanese language and culture. The workshops are run by an experienced Japan Foundation language consultant, Michie Akahane.

Teachers can choose from a wide range of lesson topics and activities. Alternatively, the Japan Foundation can work with you to create a program relevant to your students’ interests and proficiency level.

The Centre Visit program is free of charge, but bookings are essential. Bookings are open for every school day of the year, but make sure you book early, as dates fill up fast. The booking application form is attached.

You can find more information on the Japan Foundation website.

If you have further enquiries, please email the Japan Foundation, or  call on 02 8239 0055.
