Urgent – seeking experienced HSC teacher to support Asquith Girls High School Year 12 Continuers students

The principal of Asquith Girls High School is seeking an experienced HSC Japanese teacher to work with Year 12 Japanese Continuers students to prepare them for the HSC oral exam this coming weekend.

The principal is flexible on the time for tutoring, which could be arranged during the school day or in the afternoon, to suit the teacher's availability.

NSW Japanese Language Speech Contest 2018 – applications close soon

The NSW Japanese Language Speech Contest will be held on Sunday 2 September 2018 at the University of NSW.

Applications to participate in the speech contest remain open until Thursday 23 August 2018.

The application form and contest guidelines are attached below.

Registration will close for the NSW cross-sectoral Japanese Teachers' Conference 2018 on Friday 10 August.

Registration is via RegoDirect, an external registration site. For access click on the link below.

The conference is being managed by VMS conference services and support. If you have any trouble with registration, or need to pay by credit card, please contact VMS on 02 9526 1221.

There are currently 4 workshop sessions with 4 workshops in each session. Due to early participation interest, some workshops are being repeated.

2018 Japanese Film Festival – school screening

The Japan Foundation has announced the film for the Japanese Film Festival – school screening.

The comedy, MY love STORY!! (俺物語 Ore Monogatari) is directed by Hayato Kawai and will be screened during Term 4 in Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne. Screening dates and the film trailer are available on the Japan Foundation website.
