March 11 is the fifth anniversary of the devastating 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

Casual Japanese teacher required at Model Farms High School

A casual teacher is required from 21st March until 8th April (last 4 weeks of Term 1) to take a long service leave replacement at Model Farms High School, Baulkham Hills. The load is 2 Year 7 classes (one is a shared music class the other is a GandT taster course in Japanese), 3 Yr 8 classes using Hai 1 resources, a Year 9 class and a Year 10 class using Obento Deluxe.

Pittwater High School is seeking a Japanese teacher to relieve for 3 weeks of Long Service Leave from 14th March until 1st April inclusive. ESL qualification is preferable but not essential.
The school is located in Sydney's Northern Beaches area. The teaching load includes Years 7, 8 and 11 Beginners Japanese, as well as EAL/D (ESL) support.

Japanese Government Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship 2016

The Japanese Government Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship 2016 for Teacher Training Category is now open. This scholarship is offered to teachers of primary school, high school or college level and who have more than five years of teaching experience as of 1 April 2016. (Tertiary teachers are not eligible to apply). Please note that this scholarship is not just for teachers of Japanese language.
