Tanken Centre HSC Workshops

24/2/2015

Dear teachers,

Thank you very much for your continued support.

April Holiday Workshops

Please kindly note that the Continuers' workshop is full now.

We still have places available for the Beginners’ workshop (9th and 10th April).

Please contact me if you are interested in the Beginners’ workshop.

We have not finalised the dates for the July HSC workshops as yet.

As we have received a large number of  Continuers’ workshop applications, we are considering running the Continuers' workshop twice in July, instead of the Beginners' workshop.

Once the dates are finalised, we will inform you through this site. The 1 day Extension workshop will be running as usual.

Booking form

We are very grateful that so many teachers have organised a visit to our centre.

Our dates are almost full in Term 2 and 3 this year. We still have many days available in Term 4. If you are planning to bring your students, please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Thank you to the teachers who have promptly sent us their booking form.

Please kindly note that once we receive your booking form, your visit will be finalised.

We would be very grateful if you could organise your booking form within one week of tentatively booking your date with us.

We appreciate your cooperation.

Please send your inquiry to:

nihongo.tanken@det.nsw.edu.au

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Seeking school to host students from Nagoya

23/2/2015

The Nagoya City Board of Education is planning on sending 16 students (8 boys and 8 girls) to Sydney at the end of July(beginning of August) in 2015. My school will be accepting 8 students but they are looking for 1 more Sydney area high school to be a host school. The Nagoya students would need to be billeted by host families. 8 Nagoya students (4 boys, 4 girls) would
spend time at the host school for 5 nights and go to school for 4 days, the other 2 days being weekend time with the host families. They will pay a small amount of money, around $100, for board to each host family. The students are senior high students i.e. 15/16/17yrs old.

If you think your school would be interested, please contact me, and I will send off your details to my contact in Japan.

Thanks
