The national Australia-Japan Relations Essay Contest will not continue this year. However the Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney is proud to present the 1st Australia-Japan Relations Essay Contest for NSW and NT Secondary School Students 2014. The consulate is pleased to be able to send you information about the new contest for NSW and the NT.
The contest's aim is to encourage an understanding of Japan and Australia-Japan relations among NSW and NT secondary students, including Year 7 students at primary schools in the NT. The contest is open to all students, not only those studying Japanese language. Entries close on Monday 10th November 2014.
The consulate has already emailed information to some schools that have had recent contact with the consulate and/or previously entered the contest. They will also be sending information by post to high school principals and municipal libraries in the near future.
A letter from the consul in charge of the contest, a flyer and entry documents are attached. Entry guidelines and essay cover sheets are also available for download at www.sydney.au.emb-japan.go.jp
We hope many schools and students will be able to participate.
