Following the success of last year’s edition, FILEF (Federation of Italian Migrants and Families) is launching again a short film competition. The theme this year is La Terra/The Land, to be freely interpreted: from Mother Earth to the environment, from traditional farming to Indigenous land rights.
The competition includes two categories: Over 18 and Under 18
First prize Over 18: $1000 and 1 specialized course at the Sydney Film School.
First prize Under 18: $500 and 1 short summer course at the Sydney Film School.
Prize for Most Outstanding Performance, 1 acting course for cinema at the Actor Centre Australia.
Deadline for application and submission of films is 5 October 2015
Selected entries will be screened at the FILEF Short Film Festival to be held in November, as an event of the Double Belonging Festival 2015.
