XIX settimana della lingua italiana

Teachers of Italian are invited to participate in an afternoon workshop hosted by Co.As.It. to celebrate XIX settimana della lingua italiana. This year’s theme is L’italiano sul palcoscenico – Italian on stage.

Date: Wednesday 30 October 2019
Time: 4:00-5:30pm
Venue: Italian Bilingual School, 30-32 See St Meadowbank
Guest speaker: Vincenzo Diglio  
Topic: Il palcoscenico scuola di vita – l’esperienza scolastica italiana

Vincenzo Diglio, from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, is an actor, assistant director and teacher of Italian theatre. Some of his works/films include I ragazzi del muretto, Songbirth and Nuovomondo. Vincenzo Diglio is presenting at the  national Italian teachers’ conference in Melbourne and will be joining us in Sydney for this special and unique presentation.

Professional learning opportunity - Italian workshop 24 October 2017

To coincide with la Settimana della lingua italiana, the 2017 theme of L'italiano al Cinema l'Italiano nel Cinema and the National Italian Teachers' Conference being held in Canberra, Professor Donata Puntil from the Kings College London will be in Sydney on 24 October to deliver a workshop. The workshop is titled "Mixed ability classes and the use of cinema," and will involve the presentation of various Italian film clips, followed by a discussion on their cultural and linguistic use in the Italian class room. Attendance at the workshop will count towards teacher identified professional learning.

HSC Languages Study Day 6 June 2017 - University of Wollongong and NSW Department of Education

The University of Wollongong is pleased to host its HSC Study Day on Tuesday 6 June 2017 (9am-2:30pm), in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, as part of its outreach activities.
 
The Language Centre at University of Wollongong has been successfully running its HSC Language Study Days for over five years.
 
We would like to invite experienced teachers of languages and markers of HSC languages courses to provide invaluable assistance to students preparing for their HSC examinations.
 
The HSC Languages Study Day will offer French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish languages across the differentiated levels: Beginners, Continuers, Extension and [Language] and Literature (formerly Background Speakers).
 
If you would like to express interest in leading the HSC Languages Study Day program in your specialist language at the University of Wollongong, please email nicholas.wilson28@det.nsw.edu.au In your email, please include your language and course expertise, and experience (e.g. Spanish Beginners – 5 years teaching; 3 years HSC marking).
 
Expressions of interest close Thursday 18 May 2017.
 
If you are attending as a presenter only (not with a class), your relief will be funded by the NSW Department of Education.
 
The day will be a great opportunity for our students to gain invaluable knowledge and skills in preparation for their HSC examinations.
