The Premio Campiello announces the 27th edition of the Campiello Junior Prize, a literary award reserved for young people aged between 15 and 22.

The deadline for sending the works is 13 January 2022.

The competition
The works will be evaluated in successive stages by various juries, selected by the Management Committee of the Campiello Prize. In the second half of April 2022 the names of the five finalists will be announced and their works will be collected in a book edited by the Campiello Foundation.
The finalists will receive a selection of books and an invitation to the Campiello Prize award ceremony. The winner will be entitled to a two-week study holiday in a European country.

Special recognitions
Two special mentions will be awarded:
- to a story that deals with issues related to environmental and/or social sustainability
- to a travel-themed story.

This year, there will be also a special mention for young entrepreneurs, aimed at rewarding the best story that, through the protagonists or the setting, describes and narrates the business culture, in particular that of young people or women.

How to participate
Young people residing in Italy and abroad can participate in the competition, with a story written in Italian with a minimum length of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages. It is possible to participate with only one work, and collective works are not allowed.

Stories must be received anonymously and must be sent both in electronic and paper format.

The registration for the competition must be lodged through the Campiello Prize website, in the section dedicated to Campiello Junior. Each participant must register by entering their data in the appropriate form and enclosing the file with the story.

The paper version of the story must be received in 4 copies (not bound) by the Segreteria della Fondazione Il Campiello (Via Torino, 151 C – 30172 Mestre – Venezia) and must include the form with the candidate’s personal data (attached).

The deadline for the arrival of the stories, both in electronic and paper format, is January 13, 2022 (as attested by the postmark for the paper version).
