Studies of Asia - Scholarship opportunity

23/9/2014

Eligible teachers are invited to apply for a scholarship to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Teaching Asia through the Australian National University, during semesters 1 and 2 of 2015. The Studies of Asia Graduate Certificate Scholarship provides with support to undertake further education that will lead to an improvement in
student learning outcomes about studies of Asia.

It is expected that teaching and learning activities will be developed as a result of completing the graduate certificate. On successful completion of the Scholarship program, teachers will graduate with the award of
Graduate Certificate in Teaching Asia. This may qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) toward a Masters of Education (Studies of Asia).

Participation in the graduate certificate program is open to full-time teachers who have been employed in the NSW Department of Education and Training for at least 3 years in a permanent or contract capacity.

The scholarship will fund course fees to complete the Graduate Certificate in Teaching Asia Program through the Australian National University (2 courses per semester is the maximum allowed). Up to 4 relief days
will be provided to attend two intensive programs.
