Position in Languages team at the Learning and Leadership Directorate, Oxford Street

Due to a temporary change in staffing, we are looking to fill the Italian Language Officer position for up to five days a week for a period of three months (Term 2, 2014) at the Learning and Leadership Directorate, Secondary Education, located at 1 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst.

The successful candidate would be paid a higher duties allowance, if eligible. We are only able to accept applications from permanent NSW DEC teachers, who would normally be at their school on the days given.

1.Teaching qualifications and successful teaching experience in Italian
2. Demonstrated understanding of curriculum content and current issues in teaching Italian

4. Proven ability to work within and across teams.

Material provided:  A synopsis, a list of vocabulary and a fun word search of the play available in:
French, Italian or German

The audience: 
Suitable for both Primary & Secondary
Schools the performance & LOTE content adapted accordingly
Where do we perform? 
At your school:  theatre/ hall/ gymnasium / library/ double classroom or outside area
Duration of the show: 1 hour (50 minute show+ 10 minutes question time
Minimum number of students:  80 students or equivalent booking cost  
Maximum number of students:  Between 180 and 200 students per show (depending upon the size
of the room where the show will be performed). We can perform up to 3 shows a day

Co.As.It. is seeking Story Time Teachers to run its bilingual Story Time program in Italian
and English for children between 2 and 7 years of age. 

Expression of interest is invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers.

Fluency in English and Italian;
Background in teaching or early childhood education;
