Terima kasih to the 10 schools and 146 students who entered this year’s Kompetisi Siswa.

Members of the Australia-Indonesia Association of NSW, along with the MLTA of NSW and the Indonesian Consulate, including the Indonesian Consul-General, met yesterday to judge the entries.

Each year we receive many creative and interesting entries, which makes choosing the winners a difficult task.  Congratulations to the place-getters from each category, who will each be receiving a prize generously donated by the Australia-Indonesia Association of NSW.

All students who entered the competition will receive a certificate of participation from the MLTA of NSW and each participating school will receive a certificate of appreciation from the Indonesian Consulate.

A full list of winners in each category can be downloaded below.

A special thank you to the teachers who encourage their students to participate in the competition each year.

KOMPETISI SISWA 2015

19/3/2015

Each year the Department of Education and Communities coordinates the Kompetisi Siswa, a writing competition for students of Indonesian from Kindergarten to Year 10. Many teachers find this a great opportunity to raise the profile of Indonesian within their school community and for their students to experience competing with students in other schools at a state level.

Each Stage (Years 1-2, Years 3-4) etc is given a different topic and format for their writing task. Teachers are asked to coordinate their students’ work by selecting six entries per year group to be entered in the competition.

The closing date for entries is Friday 26 June 2015.

Prizes for first place, second place and highly commended are generously donated by the Australia-Indonesia Association of NSW. All students will receive a certificate of participation from the MLTA of NSW. Each participating school will receive a certificate of recognition from the Indonesian Consulate. See below for competition rules and entry forms.
