A student's perspective on living and studying in Indonesia.
A reminder that applications for the 2014 Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE Project close on 30 September. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of this highly successful sister-school program!
A group of 18 young Indonesians – potential future leaders of Indonesia – will visit NSW from mid October to mid December 2013 to experience Australia’s culture and way of life. They’ll spend three weeks in homestays, work placements and a range of cultural performance activities (in both Sydney and Kiama) as part of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP). Sponsored by the Australia-Indonesia Institute in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with the support of AusAID, the exchange is run in conjunction with the Indonesian Government’s State Ministry of Youth and Sports. You can involve your school in this wonderful opportunity to connect with the group of young Indonesian participants by considering homestays, work placements and/or offering your school as a venue for a FREE cultural performance. Please see the flyers below for more details.
An exciting opportunity exists to have a free Indonesian cultural performance in your school as part of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP) 2013-14. Morning and afternoon sessions will be offered on 3 Mondays during late October/early November in the Sydney area. You might like to consider getting together with Indonesian students from other schools in your local area or opening the performance up to your whole school community to enjoy this wonderful cultural experience. Please let your students and school community know that there is also an opportunity to host one of the 18 young Indonesian AIYEP participants in a 3 week homestay from 19 October - 10 November. Families are entitled to a hosting subsidy and what a better way to engage in some real life Indonesian language practice!! For more information please see the attached flyer or contact Sylvia Sidharta, the AIYEP Local Coordinator for Sydney: Sylvia Sidharta M 0419 353 690 E sylviasidharta@me.com |
