What do they do?
Teaching Assistants team-teach with qualified languages teachers and take small groups for language skills
development and practice. Teaching Assistants may also support languages programs in clusters of schools.

What are the eligibility requirements?
Priority will be given to schools with face-to-face classes.

Secondary schools are eligible to apply if there are language classes in:
- three years from Years 7-10, or
- two years from Years 7-10 and face-to-face classes in Year 11 and/or Year 12.

Primary schools are eligible to apply if there are language classes for two hours per week, across two years from Kindergarten-Year 6.

Schools must nominate a qualified full-time permanent teacher to act as supervising teacher.
