The Australian Hellenic Educators’ Association was established in 1992 as the NSW Teachers of Modern Greek Association, with the main aim being the promotion of Hellenic Studies in New South Wales and to assist students and teachers alike in their endeavours.
One of the highlights of our 30th anniversary program will be a one-day State Conference on Modern Greek Studies in primary and secondary education, a joint effort of the NSW Department of Education and the Australian Hellenic Educators’ Association.
The Conference will take place on Friday 26 May from 8:30 am-3 pm and be followed by the Phoevos Awards Presentation Ceremony for achievement in primary education from 4 pm.
The Languages and Culture team seeks secondary language teachers from public schools to present at the Modern Greek Conference. Focus areas and further details for the presentation can be found in the attached EOI.
