‘Kurz & Bündig’ online workshops
Aspects of the professional learning program Deutsch Lehren Lernen® (DLL) will again form the core of the 60-minute online seminars in this year's ‘Kurz & Bündig’ series. In this kick-off session you will learn more about this advanced training didactic approach, the contents of the individual units, the practical exploration projects (PEPs) and the general methodological-didactic guidelines that DLL teaches. You will also get an overview of upcoming DLL courses and hear testimonials from former participants. There is no cost to participate. Additional information can be found online.

NSW conference for teachers of German
We look forward to bringing together German teaching colleagues from NSW and beyond for in-person professional learning, collaboration and networking on Friday 18 March at the Goethe-Institut in Sydney. If you are interested in presenting, please submit papers by 28 February.  Conference registrations close on Friday 11 March or when places have been filled. Further information can be found online.

Scholarships for online professional learning
Whether you are interested in methodology and didactics or improving your language skills, the Goethe-Institut provides a wide range of online professional learning courses so you can learn at your own pace from home or elsewhere. Check out the dates for 2022 on the website.

Young teachers’ network and award
The Goethe-Institut has established this network to provide support for prospective and new teachers of German with 0-5 years of experience at the beginning of their careers. The program accommodates the various needs of its members and creates opportunities for personal and digital exchange as well as for networking. Do you fulfil the criteria and feel like this program is for you? Registrations are now open online.

Enterprise German – Unternehmen Deutsch 2022
The popular Australia-wide ideas contest ‘Enterprise German’ will be back in 2022. The project promotes the collaboration between schools and German companies in Australia and provides Year 9 and 10 students with the opportunity to gain insight into the professional world. Registrations are available online.

Kino for kids 2022
The Goethe-Institut Australia will again contribute to the Palace Cinemas' German Film Festival with hand-picked films for kids and teens from 29 May-19 June. ‘Kino for kids’ is a wonderful opportunity for young audiences, schools and families alike to experience a fantastic collection of the latest German films. We also offer a range of teaching material for each film. Additional information will be available later in the year.

Kalender 2022
Our 2022 calendar has the topic "Blick in die Zukunft - Trends und Forschung aus Deutschland". A digital version of the calendar as well as teaching materials relating to the topic are now available for download on our website. Hard copies of the calendar can be ordered free of charge from the Goethe-Institut in Sydney via the order form online.
