The Goethe-Institut is holding HSC workshops in Sydney in 2021. During these workshops, there will be intensive communicative activities, to prepare for the oral exam under the guidance of experienced teachers.

If you are looking for posters to decorate your German classroom or to promote your German program at open days, the Goethe-Institut New Zealand has created posters you may find useful. The posters are available in 7 designs and showcase the similarities of German and English words. They can be ordered free of charge from the Goethe-Institut offices in Sydney or can be downloaded from the website.
Erfolgreich digital Deutsch unterrichten
The project EDDU presents teaching ideas on how to easily and successfully use digital tools in your German classes, taking into consideration the technical challenges that can arise in schools. The EDDU materials offer teaching advice on the use of chat apps, social media, videos, photos and other digital tools addressing topics that you will usually find in your textbooks and that are of interest to your students. My Grammar Rules for adults
The Goethe-Institut is offering 90-minute grammar workshops. Each Tuesday evening, one challenging grammatical concept will be explained, applied and consolidated in an interactive online session. Workshop topics include reflexive verbs, past conditional, the verb “lassen“, coordinating conjunctions, indirect questions, declension of personal pronouns, pronominal adverbs, two-way prepositions, dative and accusative case. Kino for kids festival
The popular Kino for kids festival will run in cinemas in 2021. Screening German films for children and teens has been an integral part of our cultural student programs for many years. Students may be interested in participating in the film review competition we are running as well. Further information can be found online.
German careers day
This year the German careers day will be held as a nationwide online event. Students are invited to join us on Thursday 29 July to learn about career paths with German. Further information can be found online.

Students can learn about Germany and improve their German through using the free app Deutschland. Kennen. Lernen. The app uses augmented reality features. Further information regarding the app can be found online.
