Intext Book Company Enewsletter - May 2016

As we begin Term 2, Intext is pleased to send you our current French resources brochure to download or print out.
It features exciting new courses for all levels that are available in book and/or digital formats.

Adomania
Most exciting for year 7 and 8 beginners in secondary schools is the planned English language adaptation of Adomania (click here for the Draw My Life presentation) from Hachette due in September.
The French editions of levels 1 and 2 are already available for assessment and can be seen on the website at www.languageint.com.au.
This detailed brochure  explains both the English and French versions for you. The French edition would be suitable for continuers from primary school language programmes.
Adomania has been mapped and complies with the Australian Curriculum with added teacher input in the Communicating > Translating sub-strand.
Based on the task-based approach, there are integral group and pair work and intercultural activities at the core of Adomania. Authentic audio and videos on the DVD-ROM included in the textbook provide each student with their own source documents for class and independent study. TV5 Monde is also running with the course on their website with supplementary activities to the film footage.
Interdisciplinary (DNL: “Disciplines non linguistiques”) activities are also included in the Workbook along with “Can do” checklists as an important addition in the English adaptation.
Navigation through the course is clear and concise for the student and teacher, with an excellent, detailed teacher’s book in preparation. By including the Answer Key to the "Auto-evaluation" in the Workbook, independent learning is facilitated.
Take a look here at some of the pages of Adomania 1 Livre  French edition. Click on the "View Inside" button to flip through the pages, see the Contents and view a unit.

The devoted website for Adomania has just been launched. Take a look at the English version where students have access to all video and audio files and transcripts. Look here!

Australian content worksheets will be available on the Hachette “Parcours Digital”
which is free to students using their unique code from the Workbook. This platform also provides a supplementary 120 interactive exercises for the students.
An Evaluation page plus "Vers le DELF" is included in 4 of the 8 Etape.
eBook versions of the French language edition are also in planning.
