NAFT 2017 membership information is now available on the NAFT website: www.naft.org.au
To re-join or join NAFT, go to the JOIN button on the home page and accurately complete the membership forms. Membership is valid from Term 1 to Term 1 of the following year.
Since NAFT has gained BOSTES accreditation for a number of its professional development workshops, we require details, such as your BOSTES number. If you do not have a BOSTES number at this stage, don’t worry, simply choose the option –NA.
When filling in school details, please use the SCROLL down list to find your school. Please ensure that your school email is correct as this will be essential this year for the Bac Blanc. If your school does not appear on the alphabetical list, please choose “Other” and contact the webmaster for NAFT at: webmaster@naft.org.au
If you are between schools, on leave, unemployed or are a student teacher, when asked to fill in school details, scroll to the bottom of the Schools list and you will find these alternatives.
Our first big event of the year is the BAC BLANC workshop at SCEGGS School on Saturday 25th Feb 2017.
More information will be coming out shortly. NAFT has gained BOSTES recognition for this workshop. However, in order to participate you must be a financial member of NAFT, so please ensure you complete your membership details NOW.
In 2017, NAFT will continue using PTC (the Professional Teachers’ Council) to collect fees for all our activities to lighten the load on our volunteers who run our activities. This means you must fill in your payment details very clearly and carefully, especially if paying via EFT.
NAFT strongly advises that you pay via PAYPAL as this is a secure method that gives you an instant receipt.
Membership is for individuals, so that if you change school or teaching circumstances, you keep your membership for the year. We encourage you to pay your membership NOW, before the busy school term starts. And don't forget: Membership fees to professional organisations are tax deductible.
If you know of any one new to french teaching, please pass on this information to them.
NAFT has maintained its very low membership fees for 2017.
NOTE: Any late memberships after Term 1 will be subject to an additional administration fee of $50.00.
We hope that our website will make the year a smooth and successful one in our aim to keep the French teachers of NSW at the forefront of innovation and pedagogy.
