Bilingual puppet show presented by Carrousel Theatre

The flyer Carrousel Theatre has been performing in Australia since 2000 and will be touring in Sydney from 7-18 November 2016.
The shows are designed for students learning languages (French, Italian, German and Spanish) and are based on renowned tales that have been adapted for puppetry. Traditional characters and stories give the students an opportunity to enjoy and understand the diversity of culture and tradition around the world. The performances are suitable for Primary students and Secondary (Years 7 to 10) students. The performance and language content are adapted according to student age and language level. Northern Beaches Secondary College, Mackellar Girl's Campus is seeking a French/German teacher for 3 days per week from the beginning of Term 2 to the end of Term 4 2016 to relieve in a maternity leave position. The position involves teaching Preliminary French Continuers, Stage 5 French and Stage 4 German. HSC marking experience is desirable.

Approval to teach French Stage 6 and willingness to teach Chinese Stage 6. Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative faculty, willing to reflect on practice and performance, as well as contribute to whole school initiatives. Demonstrated capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate innovative and engaging units of work that extend and challenge all students.
Capacity to integrate technology into innovative classroom practice. Understanding of the needs of diverse learners with a demonstrated ability to enhance student learning through quality teaching and differentiated instruction. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to promote the study of languages in a stage 6 environment.
