Do you know how this feast day came about?

Read all about it with your students on the web and if you have not done so yet, make some pancakes in class! It is simple and a lot of fun! Remember to hold a coin in your writing hand whilst flipping the pancake. If you manage to catch it, it is an ohave good luck throughout the year.

Here are some sayings (dictons) which put some light on the feast of La Chandeleur! Remember that in the northern hemisphere winter is coming to an end and people are looking forward to spring.
