In order to gain approval for permanency as a community language teacher or a bilingual school teacher at the primary level, teachers must have accreditation. Teachers are required to sit for the Community Language Teachers Test (CLTT) which is held at the University of NSW Institute of Languages (UNSWIL).
Teachers wanting to present for the test are required to send an email to the Teacher Recruitment section of the Department at Additional.Approval@det.nsw.edu.au
Teachers need to include personal details (full name, employee ID number, current address, contact number, email address) and the language you wish to sit in the CLTT.
All teachers are encouraged to sit for the CLTT at UNSW before it is discontinued.
