19/5/2022

Together we can make a difference!
We have just published a new Stage 5 unit for Arabic. In this unit, students learn about the importance of looking after the environment, including the use and management of natural resources and waste as well as different views on sustainability. Students also recognise that they can cut the amount of waste they produce by using the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). The unit also explores the impact of human actions on the environment and how to protect natural places, including those on the World Heritage List.
The resource set can be accessed from the Arabic Stages 4 and 5 section of our website, under the heading 'Stage 5 - Arabic'.

New support for Stage 5 Arabic

6/7/2021

We have just published a Stage 5 unit of work for Arabic on 'Let's have a great weekend!', including an accompanying assessment of learning task, with marking guidelines. We have also updated the Stage 5 scope and sequence so that it links to these new resources.

The unit is for students with prior learning and/or experience in Arabic and for students with a background in Arabic, and is on the Arabic Stages 4 and 5 section of our website.

Socialising and enjoying time with family and friends are both very important in the Arab culture. Being able to engage in discussions about leisure activities and negotiate plans will enable students to communicate appropriately in a range of contexts, supporting them to develop an appreciation of specific cultural practices.
