Expressions of Interest: Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program

26/11/2018

The Australian Government is providing an additional $11.8 million to expand the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program – a play-based digital application to help children learn a second language. The ELLA Foundation to Year 2 (F–2) schools trial will commence in 2019. This initiative will enable students in the early years of schooling to access the benefits of language learning through digital technology. Only 300 schools across Australia will be able to participate in the trial.

Applications are now open for schools to nominate for the trial. Applications are welcomed from schools with an existing language program and from those without.

Applications close at 5pm on 3 December 2018. Schools principals will need to apply for this trial.

For more information and to apply for the trial in your school https://www.ella.edu.au/applications/
