The new Chinese syllabus (released in 2017) has now been integrated into NESA's Program Builder. The Program Builder is an online programming tool that allows teachers to select outcomes and content directly from the syllabus in order to create scope and sequences and units.
Teachers are able to sign in to Program Builder using their departmental or Scootle login details and the Program Builder is accessible from NESA's website using the following link: http://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/k-10/understanding-the-curriculum/programming A reminder that implementation of the new Chinese syllabus is in 2019 (for Years 7 and 9) and in 2020 (for Years 8 and 10). EOI - Seeking experienced teachers to develop resources for Chinese Stage 6 Extension course5/9/2017 The Languages and Culture team is seeking experienced departmental (DoE) teachers of the Stage 6 Chinese Extension course to create high-quality support materials for the new course prescriptions (2019-2023) that will be implemented in Term 4 2018. Participation in the writing project will be over a period of 5 days: - Monday 4 December 2017 - Tuesday 12 December 2017 - Wednesday 13 December 2017 - Thursday 15 February 2018 - Friday 23 February 2018. Non-metropolitan teachers are welcome to apply - travel and accommodation reimbursements are available.
