EOI – Chinese Community Language Teacher – Campsie PS
Full-time, temporary teacher for 2017

Position
Expressions of interest are invited from applicants who would be willing to teach as a temporary full-time Chinese community language teacher at Campsie Public School for 2017.
 
School context
Campsie Public School is a large school in the CBD of Campsie, adjacent to local shops and facilities. A wide range of public transport options are available enabling families to easily travel to and from school and workplaces. 97% of our students come from over 60 language backgrounds other than English. Campsie PS hosts the only Korean Bilingual program in NSW, and offers a range of additional languages for study from K-6. Our high quality Chinese Mandarin community language program is well-recognised in ensuring an excellent program for our 319 students for whom Chinese is their first language. All students in the school study a language other than English and some students study more than one.
 
Position criteria
1. Approval and qualification to teach Chinese Mandarin as a community language and a demonstrated ability to collaboratively develop and implement high quality, differentiated integrated units of work taught in Chinese Mandarin (K-6).
2. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, staff and community.
3. Ability to authentically embed information communication technologies as an integral part of evidence-based practice.
4. Ability to support a range of extra-curricular activities.
 
Applications
Interested applicants are invited to submit an Expression of Interest outlining relevant experience and abilities that should not exceed two pages. Please ensure you include the names of two referees who are familiar with you and are able to discuss your professional abilities and suitability for the position. At least one referee is to be a Principal you have had casual or temporary work within the last 1-2 years and can support your application. Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
